Brief Description: Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT), commonly referred to as Crosstown, is a 19km light rail transit (LRT) line being constructed from Kennedy Station to Mount Dennis (Weston Road) in Toronto, Canada. Approximately 10km of the line will be located underground and up to 26 stations will be built along the stretch. The total approved budget for the Crosstown project is $5.3bn. Up to 5,400 passengers are estimated to travel on the line during peak hours by 2031. The owner, Metrolinx, is overseeing the design and construction, while the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will operate the LRT line, which is scheduled to start operations in 2020.

Toronto-based Torex Gold expects that, once completed, the project will be one of the largest and lowest cost gold mines in the world.

Brief Description: In addition to program and construction management, Fluor provided selected design and procurement services to build the copper concentrator, associated infrastructure, Shaft 2 headframe, and related facilities for the Oyu Tolgoi (which means “turquoise hill” in Mongolian) project. The project, highlighted by the large-scale (100,000 tons per day) copper concentrator, is a significant driver of the Mongolian economy; production began in 2013.

Mount Milligan Mine

Brief Description: The Mt. Milligan project is located approximately 150 kilometers northwest of Prince George, British Columbia. Fluor and AMEC jointly provided the EPCM services for a 60,000 tonnes per day copper flotation process plant, tailings storage facility, ancillary plant facilities, 92 kilometers of electric power transmission lines and a 600-person construction camp.

Cerro Verde Mine​

Brief Description: The Cerro Verde Primary Sulfide Project was an expansion of existing processing facilities that extract copper from oxide copper ore using conventional heap leach and SX/EW technology. The concentrator processes sulfide copper ore from existing mining pits approximately tripling annual production at the site from 100,000 tonnes of copper to 300,000 tonnes (complementing Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde (SMCV’s) existing copper SX/EW processing facilities).
